President & CEO
Thomas
Martini

Thomas is the founder and CEO of Lorval. Providing strategic business leadership for all aspects of Lorval’s development activities, Thomas is actively engaged in the daily operations of the company.

Working closely with the leadership team, he provides focused oversight and strategic direction for the company’s acquisitions, development, finance and technical innovation. Creative and entrepreneurial, Thomas has been successfully leading Lorval’s affiliate companies, Vitrum Glass and Apex Aluminum Extrusions since 1997. 

Thomas is energized by his passion for creating unique spaces and building strong communities.

CFO
Darren
McQueen

Darren is responsible for overseeing financial, treasury and cash management functions for Lorval and its affiliate companies.

Earning his CPA designation in 1998, Darren brings more than 15 years’ experience in senior leadership positions in finance including more than 6 years to the role of CFO.

Darren enjoys the challenge of managing a multitude of corporate entities and distilling complex financial initiatives into streamlined strategies.

Shawn
Bouchard

Shawn works closely with the President and CEO to implement the strategic vision and values of Lorval.  He oversees all Development, Acquisition & Leasing, Sales, Construction, and Administration departments for both Langley and Kelowna offices.

With more than 15 years in a senior leadership role in the Real Estate Industry, Shawn excels in leading an organization with a thrust to deliver excellence to clients while driving sustainable growth.  He is focused on redefining the real estate industry through quality and innovation.

Marlene
Best

Marlene oversees all development activities for Lorval in the Lower Mainland. With 40 years of combined private and public sector planning, development, urban design, construction and infrastructure servicing experience, Marlene comprehensively understands the drivers of successful projects. 

Managing multi-disciplinary technical teams of professionals on issues pertaining to a broad base of complex legal, financial, and interdisciplinary technical issues, she has established the highest standards for professional work. As an accredited professional planner, she enjoys the stakeholder engagement and policy planning of large-scale development.

With a successful track record of large-scale master-planned innovative projects across residential, commercial, and industrial uses in the Fraser Valley, Marlene stays true to her core values of integrity and maintaining long term relationships.

Lisa
Lock

Lisa oversees all development activities for Lorval in the Okanagan. With over 21 years of experience in the real estate development industry, Lisa has previously held executive leadership positions in Vancouver and Kelowna where she was responsible for large-scale mixed-use developments in several municipalities throughout Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, Vancouver Island, and Kelowna.

Lisa’s passion for placemaking fuels her dedication to developing neighborhoods & communities that thrive.

Jo Anne
Adamson

With over 19 years of real estate industry experience, JoAnne oversees Lorval’s sales, marketing, and communication efforts across the company’s diverse operations in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan.

Her dedication to quality and value are complimented by her wide breadth of experience in strategic partnerships, development management, customer service and administration. 

JoAnne thrives on the multi-faceted aspects of delivering exceptional spaces to buyers and tenants of Lorval’s mixed-use projects.

Director of Construction
Dan
Martynov

Dan oversees construction activities for Lorval in the Okanagan and supports activities in the Lower Mainland as needed. Dan brings 15 years of construction experience to Lorval, with 10 years in project management before moving into executive leadership roles.

His past construction projects include residential high-rise, wood frame, industrial, office, hotel and institutional in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland, Calgary, and Kelowna. 

Dan’s disciplined approach to pre-construction and planning ensure success on the execution of Lorval’s diverse projects in BC.

Acquisition and Leasing Manager
Gurki
Rai

Gurki leads Lorval’s real estate acquisition activities in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. As Lorval’s first employee in 2016, Gurki has facilitated the purchase of over $250 million dollars in acquisitions of various asset classes in the Lower Mainland and the Okanagan. 

As a licensed real estate agent, Gurki is instrumental in the identification, strategy, and negotiations of potential development opportunities. His knowledge of most sectors of the real estate industry compliments his exceptional people skills. 

Gurki thrives on seeing projects evolve from the beginning conceptual stages through to execution and delivery.

Leasing and Asset Manager
Sabrina
Lakos

Sabrina leads commercial leasing and property management activities across Lorval’s diverse mixed-use properties in the Lower Mainland. Sabrina’s 20 years in the real estate industry include 15 years in commercial property management and leasing with a focus on shopping centres and mixed-use properties.

She holds a ‘Certified Shopping Centre Manager’ designation through the International Council of Shopping Centres (ICSC) and has represented both private and public landlords in notable and award winning large-scale mixed-use assets. 

Sabrina is passionate about being able to contribute to the livability of communities by curating and managing commercial properties that enrich the neighborhood experience.
